I had the good fortune to be awarded an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesecu.com\/programs\/sec-faculty-travel-program\/2017-2018-sec-faculty-participants\/#\">SEC Faculty Travel Grant<\/a>, which allows faculty members in different SEC schools to visit each other for research purposes. I&#8217;ll be doing a number of events with Mizzou&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/medren.missouri.edu\/\">MARS<\/a> and English faculty and students, including a workshop on &#8212; you guessed it! &#8212; Books of Hours. Their <a href=\"http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/specialcollections\/\">Special Collections Library<\/a> has a <a href=\"https:\/\/libraryguides.missouri.edu\/c.php?g=654257&amp;p=4592233\">lovely collection<\/a> of fragments and codices, including two full Books of Hours and several fragments, plus a number of liturgical manuscripts related at more or less distant removes from lay prayerbooks. (You can view one of their Books of Hours &#8211; a lovely workaday volume from fifteenth-century Italy, featured above &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/dl.mospace.umsystem.edu\/mu\/islandora\/object\/mu:417928#page\/1\/mode\/2up\">online<\/a>.)
