Jasmine will be part of a panel in September discussing volunteer opportunities and experiences for college students. The panel, supported by Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, is aimed at helping other hospitals and clinics grow their volunteer programs. Way to go Jasmine!
The PACE Lab, in partnership with UGA Marine Extension, will be translating a first aid and safety program designed for Pacific Northwest fishermen into a training for shrimp and crab fishermen in Georgia. Funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, this project will employ a community-based participatory approach to prevent injuries and improve health outcomes for Georgia’s fishermen.
