PACE Lab is going to Society of Behavioral Medicine’s 2016 Annual Meeting

PACE team member Rosemary Corriero had an abstract for poster presentation accepted. “Association of insurance coverage with HPV vaccination rates pre- and post-Affordable Care Act” will be presented during the Wednesday poster session from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

Dr. Jennifer Gay will be talking about, “Weight Management Behaviors among Mexican American Youth: Variation by Growth and Maturation” during the paper session “Diet, Activity and Weight Management in Racial and Ethnic Minorities” on Friday at 12:30pm.

Dr. Jennifer Gay to speak at Conference for Cardiac and Vascular Care

On February 27, 2016 Dr. Jennifer Gay will give a presentation on short bouts of physical activity and glucose control at the 11th Annual Cardiac, Vascular & Stroke Care Conference at Athens Regional Medical Center. Her presentation highlights how episodes of moderate-to-vigorous intensity  physical activity that are less than 10 minutes in duration may be beneficial for preventing or managing type 2 diabetes.

Ellen Wenders of the PACE Lab is going to Active Living Research 2016!

MPH student, Ellen Wenders, will be presenting her research on, “Community walkability and population health status: a study of Georgia counties” at the 2016 Active Living Research Conference in Clearwater, Florida. This research is a collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Gay, Rosemary Corriero (MPH student), and Dr. Sara Robb in Epidemiology at the University of Georgia.
