I am interested in writing, reporting and social media within the sports industry.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>My interest in journalism was sparked in high school when I was the editor of my high school\u2019s yearbook and newspaper. Writing about sports became second nature to me. It is a field that has brought me confidence as a writer. I am taking great strides toward building a deeper connection with the field.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As an intern with the University of Georgia hockey team, I have learned to implicate various social media strategies, work with a creative team to produce unique content and analyze user engagement analytics to gauge content success. This internship has also provided me a basic skillset in photography. I look forward to continuing this internship for the next two years.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>My coursework in Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication provides me with experience reporting and writing on a variety of journalistic story types. I have gained experience practicing interview techniques, gathering information and data and capturing multimedia elements.
