About

I’m a photojournalist and a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Georgia. By the end of 2024, I will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in political science.

I’m from Canton, Georgia, but I spent most of my life in a small, rural town in Texas.

I fell in love with photography through my mother. She was a freelance photographer for some time and did graduation, wedding and family photoshoots. The photography gene was passed down to me, and I geared that gene toward telling stories of people in my community.

I keep a photo website that features all of my photos throughout my freelancing career. Whether it was through photographing concerts at small venues or local events in my community, I aimed to tell stories through a lens.

I became interested in writing through my high school’s yearbook class. Having the ability to shoot photos and weave them with words was a powerful skill that I have been actively working on. This class led me down the journalism and further developed my storytelling skills.
