About

I am a senior journalism and film studies student at the University of Georgia with a love for all kinds of storytelling.

My journey in media began when I took an IB Film class in high school and made seven student films over my junior and senior years. I gained experience with screenwriting, editing software, sound design and software, and cinematography.

At UGA, I have taken many film classes which have enriched my understanding of film history and theory. I have focused on cultural impacts of film movements and the French New Wave, global history of animation, and Hollywood.

As a journalism student, I have learned the foundations of journalistic writing styles from broadcast news writing, reporting, to features. I have grown to deeply value the role journalists play in defending the First Amendment and our code of ethics. Being immersed in the journalistic mindset Grady provides has given me a set of skills that film would never have taught me.

I hope to one day be able to use my film skills in the journalism world, to report on the film industry and filmmakers who are creating innovative works. My passions lie in anything video or film related.
