I’m a senior journalism major in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, pursuing both a B.A. in Journalism and an M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication through the Double Dawgs program.

Over the past three semesters, I’ve completed intensive reporting courses that have helped me build a wide range of skills—including data journalism, digital design, photography, videography, interviewing, event coverage, and in-depth reporting.

Currently, I work as a student writer for the Office of Marketing and Communications at UGA’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. This role has given me real-world experience in journalism within a professional, corporate setting.

In addition, I write for the culture desk at The Red & Black, UGA’s independent student newspaper. Reporting for the culture desk has allowed me to explore the unique stories that shape Athens and the UGA community. It’s also helped me grow a strong network of local contacts and deepen my curiosity for underreported topics.

Looking ahead, I hope to work in areas like sustainability, climate science, or travel—reporting in ways that connect people, places, and cultures. Whether through magazine features, digital publications, or my own blog, I aim to tell stories that are original, meaningful, and centered around community.
