Miller Rich grew up in Suwanee, Georgia where he learned to play the piano and guitar, focusing on classical music. Dinner conversations revolved around politics, law, and current events. The fabric of his childhood set Miller on a trajectory of music, journalism and law. He has had experience in a law firm through an internship in 2022, which solidified his desire to pursue law school. He is currently a junior in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Law. Miller enjoys music in his free time, listening, writing, and performing. He is reporting on local music in Athens, Georgia while working on his undergraduate degree. He plans to attend law school after completing his undergraduate studies.
He wants to report on the Athens music scene because of his love for music. At his time in Grady college so far, he has had the opportunity to cover individual musicians in a Beat Q&A format, do live coverage of Historic Athens Porchfest and coverage of a news conference with the mayor of Athens-Clarke County. He hopes to use the skills he is learning now to further and deepen his understanding of the Athens music scene while writing stories for others to learn as well.
