Olivia Sayer is from Suwanee, Georgia. She is a third-year student majoring in journalism at The University of Georgia with a sports media certificate and a minor in sports management.
Olivia is currently a Georgia beat reporter for 247Sports. She primarily covers UGA baseball and assists with the coverage of other UGA sports. She also helps create content for the FWAA’s Steve Spurrier Awards. Olivia previously worked on the sports desk at The Red & Black and interned at 680 The Fan, The Covington News and Georgia Bulldog Sports Marketing.
While studying at the University of Georgia, Olivia has gained first-hand experience working in the sports media industry, including covering events such as the 2024 Athens Super Regional, 2024 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament and the SheBelieves Cup.
Olivia aims to have a career in sports media covering a team for a professional outlet. She hopes to serve as a connection between team organizations and fans, delivering intriguing stories that go further than what occurred on the playing surface. Olivia aspires to drive future generations to care about sports the way exceptional reporting did for her.
