Georgia women’s basketball will play nine non-conference opponents in Stegeman Coliseum, the team announced Monday. The Bulldogs’ home schedule includes Houston, Georgia State and Virginia Tech, among others.

Georgia will begin its 2024 campaign Nov. 4, when North Carolina Central comes to Athens. The Bulldogs only game against the Eagles occurred in 2008, with Georgia dominantly winning 85-31.

The matchup is the first of four-straight home games head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson will have to begin her third season with the Bulldogs. Georgia will follow its game against North Carolina Central with contests against Houston (Nov. 8), Furman (Nov. 10) and Georgia State (Nov. 14).

From there, the Bulldogs will travel about 70 miles to play Georgia Tech on Nov. 17. Georgia is 37-9 against its in-state rival but lost the last matchup in 2023 by over 10 points. The Yellow Jackets are the only non-conference team projected to pose a true road test to the Bulldogs in 2024.

Georgia will then travel to Orlando to face Tulsa and Penn State in the inaugural WBCA Tournament. The event is held at the Walt Disney World Resort and will feature Georgia, Tulsa, Penn State and Marshall.

The Bulldogs will then return home to host four more teams in Prairie View A&M, Hampton, Virginia Tech — in the SEC/ACC challenge — and UNC Greensboro.

The contest against Virginia Tech will be the first-ever matchup between the two teams in Athens, and it will be against a Hokies squad that went 25-8 last season but is under new leadership. The game is set for Dec. 4 with the tipoff time yet to be announced.

After hosting four more games, Georgia will fly across the country to play Colorado State and Hawaii in the San Diego Tournament. The Bulldogs will conclude their non-conference slate with a matchup against Ohio Dec. 28 at Stegeman Coliseum.

Georgia’s home conference opponents for the 2024 season are Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina and Texas. The Bulldogs will travel to Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
