Samantha Ramsey is from Rome, Georgia. She is currently a student at the University of Georgia pursuing degrees in journalism and sports management.

Samantha is involved in the property and equipment crew for the Redcoat Marching Band. She ensures game day operations run smoothly through quick thinking and problem solving. She also is currently working for UGA’s Athletic Association as a fan engagement intern. In this position, she works with a team to give away promotional items and engage fans at sporting events.

Samantha intends to be a sports broadcaster or media manager in collegiate basketball. She has always enjoyed sports and is excited to bring the atmosphere from the game into your living room. She sees sports as a way to connect people across the globe and foster large communities.

She hopes to be evidence that there is a place for women in the sports industry. Sports has traditionally been a male dominated industry and can be intimidating to get a start in. She believes in breaking barriers and helping others get into a rapidly changing industry.
