About

Experience and Goals

I am an aspiring sports broadcaster and journalist with a passion for storytelling and amplifying the voices of those who cannot express themselves. I am set to graduate from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, a sports Media Certificate, and a minor in sports management.

My love for broadcasting began in the eighth grade when I founded my school’s news program, sparking a passion that has guided my journey ever since. During my time at UGA, I have immersed myself in various aspects of journalism, gaining hands-on experience and developing a versatile skill set.

I have written sports articles for two local newspapers, covered live sports games, and reported on diverse topics such as equity and inclusion for my journalism classes. As part of Grady Newsource, I worked on the Oconee County Board of Education beat and contributed to news conferences, profile stories, and more. Additionally, I managed social media accounts for the UGA Rowing Team and the Florida Collegiate Summer League’s Diamond Dawgs, creating engaging content and fostering community connections.

As a travel communications intern with the American Junior Golf Association, I produced social media graphics, conducted interviews, crafted articles, and collaborated with players to create video content. I also worked remotely with the FanGirl Sports Network, posting engaging facts and features about professional athletes.

Currently, I am part of the Georgia Football video department, where I film and edit content to support the team. In the upcoming spring semester, I will intern with CNN Sports, assisting with the CNN World Sport show, gathering content, editing and transcribing videos, and more.

My work with Grady Newsource, UGA’s live broadcast program, has been instrumental in sharpening my skills. I have served as an MMJ, producer, anchor, sports anchor, weather anchor, and digital producer. This experience allowed me to master conversational scriptwriting, build relationships within my community, produce newsworthy stories, and work effectively under tight deadlines using tools like Adobe Premiere.

I thrive on the opportunity to connect with people, share impactful stories, and continue learning about the evolving journalism and sports industries. I am excited to take the next steps in my career and contribute meaningfully to the field.
