I am particularly interested in the overlap between journalism and the law because it is important to protect journalists’ First Amendment rights and advocate for freedom of the press. My work as a journalist and coverage of different communities has helped me recognize the importance that law can hold in protecting the journalism profession.
I am a Communications Fellow for the Georgia First Amendment Foundation, a non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicating to protecting First Amendment rights in the state.

Digital Storytelling Through Social Media
I was also in charge of creating a digital social media campaign to help promote one of GFAF’s annual events, the Georgia Bar, Media & Judiciary Conference. This work helped me recognize the importance of engaging a targeting audience in a consistent and effective manner.
