About

I am an undergraduate Honors student at the University of Georgia majoring in Journalism and Political Science on the pre-law track, and minoring in Law, Jurisprudence and the State. I am also pursuing a certificate in Public Affairs Communications. I seek to use my reporting skills and access to resources to advocate for marginalized communities. I am interested in the intersection of journalism, social justice and policy, and I look for experiences where these passions overlap.

Currently, I am a member of the Arch Society at UGA, where I serve as a goodwill host and ambassador. I have had the opportunity to give tours to potential students and volunteer at UGA’s Memorial Service and undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies.

I also serve as the Internal Director for Shop With a Bulldog (SWAB), an organization devoted to serving Athens elementary students by taking them holiday shopping on one Sunday in November every year. My role involves overseeing the four internal groups within the organization and making sure to facilitate positive communication amongst each member.

I work as a transition leader for Student Transitions at UGA, where I serve as a resource for any student on campus who is navigating a transition. I help in creating and planning events to bring students together, as well as conduct individual meetings to discuss specific student transitions.

This summer, I will be in Oxford through UGA’s Grady at Oxford program. I will be taking International Conflict and International Mass Communication courses. I hope to use this experience to broaden my worldview of the overlap between journalism and policy.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy watching TV, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
