It’s nice to meet you!

I’m a mulitmedia journalist with particular interest in visual storytelling, emerging media and political reporting. I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s in journalism, a certificate in public affairs communications and a minor in theater.
Growing up in Calhoun, a small, rural Georgia town, I’ve used reading and writing as an escape for as long as I can remember. I fell in love with the idea that ordinary people — and ordinary words — can evoke change in the world.
I came to UGA with this in mind, confident that my voice had worth and influence. Being a student at Grady has only strengthened that sense of purpose.
With the support of my peers and professors, I have grown in my understanding of every aspect of journalism. My education and experiences in Grady College newsrooms have equipped me with the ability to navigate the evolving media landscape and to process and distill complex information into compelling narratives across various platforms that resonate with diverse audiences.
I have worked in many newsrooms and in many roles at UGA including writing for the Cox Institute’s Covering Poverty newsroom and MMJ-ing, producing and anchoring for Grady Newsource. Before I had the seniority required to MMJ, I got to volunteer in the control room of Grady Newsource. That experience showed me how a newscast gets pieced and how that’s an art in and of itself.
I’m eager to further my journalism career through new experiences and opportunities. Please feel free to reach out!
