Featured in the Oglethorpe Echo, I wrote this piece in collaboration with another reporter — Navya Shukla. It was expected to be a only semester-long project, but the story kept developing beyond then. Navya and I interviewed countless sources and restructured this piece over and over again to be sure our reporting was thorough, honest and equitable.
This piece was for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s annual Everyday Heroes segment. I was determined to find someone in the UGA-Athens community who was truly doing good for good reason. Aliyah Williams is a great example of that.
