In order to achieve certification, a company must:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"px-12 list-disc\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Demonstrate\u00a0<b class=\"\">high<\/b>\u00a0<b class=\"\">social and environmental<\/b>\u00a0<b class=\"\">performance\u00a0<\/b>by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing our risk review. Multinational corporations must also meet baseline requirement standards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Make a\u00a0<b class=\"\">legal commitment<\/b>\u00a0by changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Exhibit\u00a0<b class=\"\">transparency\u00a0<\/b>by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab\u2019s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab\u2019s website.\u00a0 &#8221; &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcorporation.net\/en-us\/certification\">B Corp Website<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Overview:\u00a0<\/strong>As a last minute project add on, our team was given the unique opportunity to learn about the involved efforts that go into the B Corp certification process when starting from square one. Over the semester, we were able to accomplish the following: finalize the assessment to receive a raw score, complete a formal point matrix, and deliver an active action plan to be delivered to the client.
