This portfolio has allowed me to showcase my personal, professional, and academic journey since beginning the MPA program at the University of Georgia. It will give the reader better insight into my career goals as a graduate student at the University of Georgia and my passion for rural communities throughout the state. It will also highlight areas of leadership development, education, and economic development that are my professional priorities every day.
The portfolio also provides the reader with a glimpse into my motivations. It explores my passion for developing a healthy foundation for the new generation of leaders and creating a sustainable model to deliver community-based leadership development training in Georgia communities.
Finally, the portfolio explores my academic journey at the University of Georgia over the past two years. I chose to present academic artifacts that addressed weaknesses in the country’s political and social systems and how they can affect everyday men, women, and children. To the greatest extent, these courses have strengthened my capabilities as a public administrator and prepared me to help bring value and faith to communities that often go under the radar.
In closing, I would say that I am proud of my academic and professional accomplishments during my time at the University of Georgia and that I am happy to have found an area of academic interest and a profession that contribute in a positive way to the calling of public service.
