I was born and raised in the Southeastern part of Nigeria, where I had my basic educational training. In 2012, I received my Doctor of Medicine(MD) degree at the Lugansk State Medical University, Ukraine, completed my Internship, and worked as a primary care physician in Nigeria. In pursuit of my goal of becoming a board-certified physician here in the United States, I relocated to the United States to prepare for my MD board exams, which I have successfully completed.
I am a second-year MPH graduate student with a concentration in epidemiology and also a Graduate teaching assistant at the Epidemiology/Biostatistics department where I am assigned to help teach classes, conduct lab sessions, grade papers and provide extra support for students during office hours.
My interest in public health focuses on Maternal and child health, I am passionate about improving the well-being of mothers, infants, and children and this led to my establishing a non-profit organization in Port Harcourt Nigeria, where we provide health education for pregnant women in the community and also necessities such as proper nutrition for both pregnant women and children.
Working as a research assistant at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has further broadened my intellect in research, through which I have gained skills such as Data entry, Data cleaning, and Data analysis using statistical software and this has enabled me to work on my first manuscript which is under review.
I am blessed with three children (1 boy and 2 girls) and live with my family in Johns Creek, Georgia.
When I am not busy with school work, I love to cook and spend time with my family(watching movies)
