Gabrielle (Gabby) Gruszynski is a fourth-year Honors student, double majoring in English and journalism at the University of Georgia. Gruszynski is also pursuing a minor in law, jurisprudence and the state.

Gruszynski has always had a passion for writing, whether that be critically, poetically or journalistically. She has been an employee of the Red & Black newspaper for the past two years, dedicating her skills to the opinion desk. Gruszynski has served as a contributor, Audience Engagement Editor, Assistant Editor and Editor for the opinion desk, and will assume the role of Deputy Editor of Standards and Practices in fall 2025.

Gruszynski also has a passion for literature and history. She serves as an ambassador for the Morehead Honors College, helping propsective Honors students become involved in her community. She has also been involved with the Student Government Association as the Director of Internal Communication and as the Director of Campus Activities for the Gamma Upsilon chapter of Alpha Xi Delta.

Gruszynski currently works at the Richard B. Russell Special Collections Library as a student docent and curator. During the weekdays, Gruszynski can be found giving tours and exploring the rare book collections the library holds within its walls.

After graduation, Gruszynski hopes to attend law school to pursue a career as either a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice or an attorney for intellectual property rights.
