Gabrielle (Gabby) Gruszynski is a second-year Honors student, double majoring in English and journalism at the University of Georgia. Gruszynski is also pursuing a minor in law, jurisprudence and the state.

Gruszynski has always had a passion for writing, whether that be critically, poetically or journalistically. She has been an employee of the Red & Black newspaper for the past two years, dedicating her skills to the opinion desk. Gruszynski has served as a contributor, audience engagement editor and assistant editor for the opinion desk.

Gruszynski also has a passion for literature and history. She is involved with Student Government Association as the Director of Internal Communications. She also serves as the Director of Campus Activities for the Gamma Upsilon chapter of Alpha Xi Delta.

Gruszynski currently works at the Richard B. Russell Special Collections Library as a student docent and curator. During the weekdays, Gruszynski can be found giving tours and exploring the rare book collections the library holds within its walls.

After graduation, Gruszynski hopes to attend law school to pursue a career as a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice. This summer, Gruszynski will be based in Savannah, interning through the Honors College at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the southeast. As the only undergraduate intern selected, Gruszynski is ecstatic to see how her personal and professional skills grow through the experience.
