This course was the best course I have taken in all my 4 years at UGA. A lot of that has to do with Dr. Kane and how this class was organized to promote group discussion and independent research. I had a general interest in all my classes at the University of Georgia, but the interest I had in digital innovation and entrepreneurship exceeded all of them. I would enjoy having to sit in a classroom for 3 hours at a time and I never thought I would say that. Not having written material and criteria for this class, expanded how many topics we were able to talk about and the amount of material we were able to learn. I learned so much more in an environment where I was able to openly discuss my thoughts with my classmates and my professor. This kind of environment reminded me of my AP highschool classes. I felt I was able to be closer with my classmates in this setting rather than working in a group on a group project.

Not only did I feel like I was able to obtain more information. I was also given opportunities to talk to very interesting people almost every week. I really enjoyed listening to these successful people give advice on what they would do coming out of school with a degree in information systems, and the path they already took. This was a unique experience for me and definitely something I will forever cherish. My all time favorite speaker this semester had to be Dennis Crowley. Alot of Dennis’s success may be brought upon by luck, however I enjoyed Dennis’s ability to understand himself and what he finds enjoyable. This spoke volumes to me, because coming out of school I believe it is important to know what you enjoy and hold that truth.

Besides discussing to our guests, I thoroughly enjoyed discussing the topics of artificial intelligence and the current trends following with that. This is something I have always been interested in and I loved hearing what other people had to say about it. This class has been amazing for so many reasons and I am very thankful I had the opportunity to be a student in the first digital innovation and entrepreneurship class at the University of Georgia. Thank you Dr. Kane for inspiring all of us and thank you to my classmates for making this such an enjoyable experience.
